Members create and maintain their own information, if something happens to your bike you can instantly post it to the Hot Sheet, you control how much and what contact information is made available to the public. When your bike is returned, you remove it from the Hot Sheet listing. - BikeRegistry can work in parallel with your city’s or university’s bike registration program. If your bike is found locally, the city/university registration may help; if found across the country or overseas BikeRegistry will most likely provide the most assistance. A handy bike equipment checklist is provided below.

Firstly, peace of mind knowing all of your bikes specifications and photo are on record, greatly assisting the filing of police reports and insurance claims should a loss ever occur. Essentially prima facie evidence of your ownership. Secondly, should a loss occur, the odds of getting your lost bike back in the short term are greatly improved. Should it not be located quickly, public notice will exist enabling identification years later. Thirdly, the details contained within BikeRegistry will enable you to quickly file an accurate and detailed police report, enhancing the probability of recovery.  Fourthly, should you file a loss claim with your homeowners's insurance company, the details from your registration will be most helpful.

Should one of your bikes become missing you will be the one to post your information on the Hot Sheet and then what exactly to post. When your bike is recovered you will be the one to remove it from the Hot Sheet. All aspects of bike ownership are managed by you online.

-Provisions are in place which will enable you to automatically recover your Password.

It is suggested that you use a Login Name such as: firstnamemiddlenamelastname for your Login; something you will not forget over time. Should you forget your Login Name, (or wish to modify it) simply email your request for assistance to admin@bikeregistry.com.
